*520  $aNorsk institutt for bioøkonomi har vegetasjonskartlagt 78 km² i Øye i Vang kommune. Kartlegginga ergjort etter instruks for kartlegging i målestokk 1:20 000 - 50 000 (VK50). Det er laga vegetasjonskart ogto avleia temakart for beite for sau og storfe. Denne rapporten beskriv metode for kartlegging, registrertevegetasjonstypar og deira fordeling i området. Det er gjeve ein omtale av beiteverdi og beitekapasitet,samt nokre råd kring skjøtsel av kulturlandskap og beite i kartområdet.The vegetation types over a total area of 78 km2 in Øye in Vang municipality have been mapped accordingto the methodology for vegetation mapping (scale 1:20 000 - 50 000). Most of the mapped area is in thelowalpine and subalpine zone. A vegetation map has been produced, from which two different thematicmaps have been derived. This report describes the methodology and gives a detailed description of theregistered vegetation types and their distribution in the area. Further, a description of other informationwhich could be derived from the vegetation map is provided, with emphasis on grazing conditions fordomestic animals.
